On Saturday, we celebrated Grace's first birthday at Jeremy's dad's (Jim) house. Although Grace was the star of the show, the weather was a close second. The day was blue, warm and sunny, and a welcome change after the dreary, rainy days all week long.

Lots of little children enjoyed playing with both Grace and Lucy, as well as with the balloons that wafted throughout the yard.

The swing set was a favorite, especially since it was in the shade. Both Grace and Lucy enjoyed swinging. It looked so fun, I tried it myself. What a great reminder of childhood days long gone!

Big sister, Emily, enjoyed the day playing ball with her friend, Macy. Big brother, Matt, hung out with us older folks and took care of his little sister.

Lots of grandparents and great-grandparents made this a special day for Grace.
Of course, she enjoyed getting lots of presents-most wrapped in pink. As usual, Dad orchestrated the gift opening while mom took pictures.
The beautiful large yard and great weather made this day so special for the celebration of a dear little life.
