This Saturday, we celebrated Lou's son, Lou, 50th birthday. He was born in April, but his family wanted to wait to celebrate the big day so they could enjoy beautiful weather on their new patio.

It was a beautiful, warm day and the surroundings, food, family and friends made everything so special.

Lou's sister, Jenny, flew in from Wyoming to celebrate her little brother's birthday. Ali and Evan also were at the party, and are now a permanent Wisconsin fixture, as Evan got a job in Whitewater.

The food was excellent and there was so much of it: chicken, brats, hamburgers, tacos, potato salad, pasta salad, fruit, dips, and a wonderful birthday cake.

Although the day was warm, the large trees that shade the patio gave a great cooling and created a nice breeze.

Lots of Family
|
Jenny spent some time knitting chemo caps for the local Cancer Center back in Wyoming. Evan was all too happy to model one for us.

Lou got wonderful gifts from those that know him so well. The theme for the gifts might have been called "Coffee and Cigars," as many of the gifts were Starbucks gift cards and expensive cigars.

Everyone had a great time, plenty of food and good conversation. There was even a bit of friendly, family competition with the Green Bay Packer bean bag toss!
